Yes, true! But, a bit of that money makes it into the pockets of millions through retirement plans and investments. And yes, grants, social/welfare programs, etc. So please, join me in a bowl of Cheerios or Puffed Wheat. And, don't forget a bowl or two of something from BAT or, what the heck, spread it around, smoke a boutique blend when you pick up the pipe. That won't help fill my wallet but, it'll help someone.
And, I hate to be a spoiler, most everything is all about money. It's also now the Chinese way. The EU thrives on the taxes generated by big businesses. Japan, Latvia, Iceland ... I can't think of a country that doesn't want more money. So, I guess money is the "World's Way". Even Venezuela is struggling to quiet the masses by desperately doing everything wrong. Money is the root of most everything wrong and most everything that's right with the world. Only in the sense though, that money is power. And some use the power wisely and others, not so much.
I'm a firm believer that one can have sufficient wealth. One can have insufficient wealth. But, one can never have too much wealth. I'm including those who consider goats as wealth or, beads, wives, anything that provides for a decent or, even a decadent lifestyle.

Once my sister in law dropped off her kids while she had to be elsewhere. One of the kids asked for milk, so I asked, "What color?" I put a drop or two of food coloring in each glass of milk, pink, purple, orange etc. THEY LOVED IT!!!!!!
My sister in law was less than pleased. But she told me later that it certainly made it easier to get her kids to drink milk.

Great on the cornbread...

Now, cook up a big mess of pinto beans, with a few jalapenos and a hunk of pork. Cook it till the pork just falls apart, and pour it over the corn bread, and mash them together. My grandfather used to also drizzle Karo syrup over his, but he was a wirey, lean and gristle sort of guy and had to eat lots of calories to keep his energy going. I like to melt cheddar cheese over mine.

If you ever get a chance to eat at a Famous Dave’s, get their cornbread for a side. Holy cow, that stuff is good! You could almost call it corncake. It’s sweet and doesn’t crumble too much.

In a 10 inch cast iron skillet, brown about a half pound of Jimmy Dean or Tennessee Pride hot sausage along with about half cup of diced sweet Vidalia onion.
Drain the crumbled sausage and onion leaving a bit of the grease in the hot skillet. Pour in half of the cornbread batter.
layer the crumbled sausage and onion on top of first layer of batter, then cover that with the remaining batter.
Bake at 425 until golden brown. A meal in it's self.
BTW, use white corn meal and whole Buttermilk. Makes a world of difference.
