Didn't think about this. Put it off as Dunhill crap. But now think about it, with hallmarks, I can possibly find Peterson pipe close enough to my birthday year.
You can try putting in the year and other variables on flebay but make sure you have detailed pictures of stamping then do a little research because more often than not ppl selling pipes on eBay don’t know diddly7nless it’s one of the few respected sellers. How did you search? Just putting in the year and tobacco pipe? Or by specific make?
I was born in '68 and I also feel that it was an un-eventful year. The flip side is that a lot of things sucked for those of us born in 1980 -- cars, guitars, amps, appliances, etc. Tail end of the malaise era.
1968 uneventful? Wars, riots, assassinations, elections? Yeah, nothing much.I was born in '68 and I also feel that it was an un-eventful year.
Pretty much the same as every other year then!1968 uneventful? Wars, riots, assassinations, elections? Yeah, nothing much.
Nice pick up.I checked with Marty Pulver who had a 1949 Dunhill shell listed as pending and asked him to contact me if the deal fell thru. He happened to have another he hadn't posted yet, so that's how I got mine.
Pulver's Prior BriarNice pick up.
Where does Marty list his pipes?
Ah yes. Visited this site before. Now I've logged on, I recognize it.Pulver's Prior Briar
What have you got, Jeff?I'm probably going to light up a couple of birth year Dunhills this coming weekend. They're estates, but, it'll be my first time smoking them.
