Bob, thank you all for your patience. Finally muddled my way through the technology. I know it seems so simple to so many folks. There will come a day when most folks will be where some of us are at. Brain dead :worship:

Only through using this sticky post and by the grace of all that is good did I get my avatar picture up and running. The main issue is that the profile avatars are magically different than the forums avatar. Follow the great instructions above. They will help you!
Oh yeah, I also had to re-size my photo into a true square aspect ratio in order to prevent strange stretching. I use "Adobe Photoshop Elements" but any photo editing service should do.

I've had some PM's recently from members having issues with their Avatars.
As noted above, you have TWO avatars:

- One for the PipesMagzine.com website

AND

- One for the forums
They are independently set, but can be the same picture (or different).
To change your Webstite Avatar:
Go to the Home page (pipesmagazine.com)
My Account>Profile>Change Avatar

The screen will look like this, and you can upload your chosen Avatar

For the Forums Avatar, follow these steps:
I access my Forums profile by clicking on my screen name at the bottom of the Forums page

http://pipesmagazine.com/forums/

From your profile page, you can see the "Avatar" button in the top right hand of this picture, click on it.

That takes you to this screen, where can upload your Avatar picture.

As you can see, I have two different Avatar pictures.

Might I suggest all posts but the illustrated one (by ssjones) a couple posts up be deleted? There are too many to wade through, and this is the first one that explained it well enough for this guy to change his avatar. Thank you, Mr. Jones.
