you're used to those thin bits! lolI’ve had them on bents and straights and either way is the same for me. I like the way it feels for a few minutes but eventually it starts to feel like I have a pacifier in my mouth. It’s just too bulky.

That’s true. Once upon a time I bought a beautiful Pete System Deluxe 11s. After a dozen smokes I just couldn’t keep it any longer because of the P-lip.you're used to those thin bits! lol
Just like stingers.Hilarious. A silly gimmick that has been in use and popular since 1898.
One thing to try:
Attempt to put it in your mouth a bit further. That indent on the bottom is technically supposed to sit on your tongue. Sometimes if you don’t do this and dangle your clench the smoke from the plip will go right into your teeth or gums.
When I side clench I have to put a p lip further into my mouth than a fishtail.
Yes, exactly. I can never find a comfortable spot to rest the stem against my teeth.is the bite area very round? Some from the 90s onward were like this and they sort of "roll" unless you get them between teeth.
I’ll send you a fishtail pipe for that one if you want. ?Not a fan. I found a NOS block meerschaum Pete with p-lip in an antique shop in Dublin. Sometimes when smoking it I'll turn the pipe, pointing the hole of the p-lip directly towards my lips so I can enjoy the flavor of the smoke on my tongue, defeating its purpose.
