I am absolutely one that loves to get small batch and hunt down limited editions - but I’m sorry at this point the concept has jumped the shark

I wonder what grade of reds are used in this blend. The Carolina Red Flake from 2019 was incredibly good but I think that was the last year for that particular grade. The XX Flake Dark from last year was also delicious provided you like perique, and I stocked up about 10 tins worth.

I have so many open tins I honestly can't tell you if the 2019 version of this is one of them. If I have one open it wasn't that impactful early so my hope is it's aging into greatness. Enjoy folks!

I've still got 8 tins of the previous run, and when I did try it, it was too similar to a blend that is available all year round that I have cellared deeply. I'm passing on this one. I enojy the regular CRF by itself w/o perique.
