I can empathize and sympathize. In my case it was a summer building railroad track, manually, no automated equipment. Carrying and tossing bales or hauling ties and rails, same hard drudgery. Best football I ever played was the season following that summer.
I remember when I was on "light duty" and was told to load hundreds of feet of buoy chain onto pallets. That stuff weighs 70 pounds each link.
