Oh, I forgot to mention, I actually was in the US Navy three years, I did have a few pipes I smoked in the Navy too, and I lived on a Sailboat for a little over year, and sailed 6,000 Nautical Miles across the Pacific, so I feel Sailor Pipe worthy. LOL ?

P.S. I’m making fun, but I actually did do all this.
All joking aside, I'm very proud of you @PipeIT

Ok, I didn’t want my Salty Pipe Certificate revoked on grounds of falsifying documents, so I quickly went through my photos, and found two of me, when I sailed the 6,000 nautical miles on my fathers sailboat, a 52ft. Irwin.

Oh @Ahi Ka you’ll always be thought of when I look at these pics, they were in NZ around 1986.

Me on the right with the green visor with my dad, catching lobster in New Zealand Bay of Islands.

Me washing the boat, in the same place of NZ.

P.S. Sorry @sablebrush52 don’t mean to be hijacking the thread. :(

I am pretty sure that was more than the legal quota of crayfish even in 1986, but I wont report you this time ha. I love the Bay of islands, looks like fond memories!

That's really nice, giving his love that which he treasures.
Yes I honestly couldn't believe it ? nobody had ever done something so loving and selfless for me.. I feel truly blessed and greatful ??

You are so right, you are blessed! I asked my wife for a pipe one Christmas. She said "Sure honey, just pick it out and tell me which one to get!" I gave her a pic of a 6103 Bruyere with a gold band. Christmas eve I excitedly went to sleep after giving her 3 1/2 minutes of the best loving ever. Instead of getting a pipe, I woke up Christmas morning in the bathtub covered in ice with a kidney missing. When I stumbled down stairs, she said "Hey, I found a way to get you that expensive pipe you wanted! Bad news though, I owed more to my bookie than I thought."

Why would I mind? I started this thread for people to have a laugh and have some fun.
This reminds me of when my father used to take his boat out to Catalina Island and we used to dive for abalone. That was some gooooooood eating!
However, abalone doesn't smoke well in a pipe.

I don’t know that I have experienced a more enlightening read in years. Everything I needed to know about pipe smoking suddenly became crystal clear! I’m thinking about printing these and putting them next to my pipe rack so I can read through them every time I smoke.
In light of your keen understanding of pipe smoking, is there any other hobbies that you have mastered that you can pass on to us? Pray tell, is there a book deal in the works?
We're thinking of making an animated series for kids. You can't get them hooked soon enough, the little buggers.

I know what you mean but I'm a little apprehensive when I get certain comments because in the past not on this forum but on social media some people tried to bash amazing pipes that I shared about like my Dunhills. Someone tried to tell me that they're not good pipes that they're old (they are 1928 churchwardens) and I seriously had to ask myself is he joking or not!? and to my surprise he wasn't! Sorry if I didn't get the sarcasm but I am also very corky ?? thank you for understanding ???
Anyone who told you that that beautiful set of 1928 Dunhills isn't spectacular is clueless. Besides, they're not that old. I smoke pipes from the early 1880's, and even they're not that old.
