I had a similar conundrum with USPS and an international package. Apparently some of the USPS regulations and fees were changed earlier this year. I spent $90 to send a similar sized & weighted package which used to cost me $35-45 USD to ship as recently as last year. It's crazy.
I wish usps would ship to Canada. UPS and Fed Ex don't acknowledge their "this is a gift option". The commercial receipt mandatory for customs was my nemesis. Maybe there is a work around I couldn't figure out. USPS didn't have the same bureaucratic nightmare last year. I'm certain its the cabal.

I'm going to light a bowl of 'duty free' tobacco as an offer to the pipe gods in your honour @VDL_Piper.

GH best brown #2 should be more than appeasing 🤞🤞🤞
It was always a risk mate when I spoke to Mike about this Christmas gig and you know you have to engage your best ninja skills to circumvent these bastards. I’m thinking some GH BB should satisfy the gods for now but I do really feel like enacting my full blown Ulster Irishman pedigree and send them a package that they might not like to open so much.

Two very important words I've learned to include on customs forms... "Hobby Supplies." 😉
