Your Own "Worst" Tobacco
I had Captain Black but once, and I got sick afterward. Not sure why but I can't stomach the thought of it after that experience. Weird because I know that it's well loved by many over the years. Perhaps I should try again.- Mr. Stubb

Jim's Updated and Revised SWR Review.
Are any of the codger blends still the same? I recall that there were issues with Carter Hall or Prince Albert when production went elsewhere some years ago. I did like Duke Albert and Chatham Manor but I think we all know those are no longer options.- Mr. Stubb

Too bad, all these stories. In essence we seem to have STG, C&D, and GH remaining? I suppose though that the hobby has become small enough in the West that we should expect there will only be one or two remaining before too much time passes, or before regulators snuff them. Does Anyone Else Have Bad Smokes?
The times I have a bad smoke are those when I am struggling to keep it lit. I tend to rush, trying to keep it burning and that just leads to the tobacco getting torched I think. Regarding relights as normal and letting things cool a bit before relighting seems to help.- Mr. Stubb

Cutting Back
Pipes are an occasional activity for me and I don't smoke in the cold because I'm not one to sit outside in the cold. I have about one bowl a week and at my pace 8oz can last me a year. I suppose we can take solace in the fact that there are still many good tobaccos available. I will miss the match offerings a lot. The Edgeworth/Ready Rubbed and BS matches for example. I presume the intellectual property has been acquired and that it’s possible some of these may return.- Mr. Stubb
