***What Are You Smoking, March 2025?***

Just had a bowl of HU Dockworker before bed. Within three bowls this went from a disappointed "this tastes like nothing" to "I think I need to cellar this". I think I'm learning that I'm a fan of burley.

    Favorite Borderline Aromatics?

Glad to hear you're doing well. Two weeks is a good amount of time to have under your belt, best of luck to you! I've used snus off and on for maybe 10 years. I always quit and then end up picking it back up. I've only been on them again for a few months but i've realizd that they interfere with...

    Favorite Borderline Aromatics?

Interested to hear more about quitting snus. Did/do you go for particularly high nicotine blends to help ease you over the cravings?

    Favorite Borderline Aromatics?

Thanks both, it will be part of my next purchase.

Recommendation Request - Creamy, Sweet, Smooth Latakia Blends - EU Available

Great idea in regards to adding some latakia to Makhuwa. I have a tin of Makhuwa and I feel that my preferred Solani Aged Burley Flake makes it a bit redundant. I think I'll pick up some pure latakia and have a shot at some blending.

    Mason Jars With a Latch

Very good tip, thanks. I think I'll pick some of these up.

Recommendation Request - Creamy, Sweet, Smooth Latakia Blends - EU Available

On my list to try, along with consummate gentleman. Thanks! The Brebbia stuff looks interesting but I haven't seen it available over here. One I've often liked the look of. I fear to try it and fall in love though as it's sadly twice the price of most other blends in the EU.

Thanks, I may just have to throw Zulu in with my next order

Thanks for these suggestions. I've also eyed Perfection but sadly SG is really expensive here, twice the cost of Rattrays, for example. Regarding 965, I just smoked some today from my jar. It still has some kind of strange note in it that i'm not the biggest fan of. The Rattray's are on my list...

Recommendation Request - Creamy, Sweet, Smooth Latakia Blends - EU Available

I wanted to like it, I really did. I'm not going to give up on it though, tastes can change so I'll continue sampling my jar periodically.

Thanks, I hadn't considered Mac Baren so i'll give that one a look. I do have some Plumcake i'm working through but find it much too airy and light on flavour.

    Mason Jars With a Latch

I love these type of jars, they look cool and are convenient to open and close. What I do is store blends i'm smoking regularly in them while storing things that will take me longer to get through in regular mason jars. That way, even if there is a tiny bit of air getting in, I'll hopefully...

Recommendation Request - Creamy, Sweet, Smooth Latakia Blends - EU Available

Hi all, I'm still a new smoker so I haven't tried a huge range of blends but I do heavily favour latakia based mixtures. Hoping I can get recommendations for latakia based blends with a creamy, smooth mouth feel and a slight sweet taste. I really like a full smoke and tend to avoid anything...

    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

Thanks, I'll try this. The blend wasn't what I was expecting. It seemed rather dry and slightly muted in flavour. I'm a novice though and seem to struggle with subtle flavours so that could just be me.

Thriving in the Upcoming Tobacco Apocalypse

As for me, here in Europe the prices make things harder plus we have no access to bulk. I have a monthly budget and I'm just buying that much tobacco a month. I will slowly build stock this way as I don't smoke too much. Problem is, I'm still working out my favourite blends. My goal is to have a...

Never tried Escudo myself but I feel like I can smell that through the screen!

    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

Just begrudgingly cracked a tin of Dockworker. I'm trying to avoid opening tins but, equally, I'm still trying to learn what blends are for me. Haven't smoked any Dockworker yet but it came in a big, folded, messy broken flake. Hopefully smoking this will help me to isolate the flavour of orientals.

Gladora Presse Canoe Latakia Flake 40 Impressions

Thanks for the review, I've been eyeing these for a while but, as you say, there aren't a lot of reviews.
