    What Did You do Today?

    Yesterday I spent the whole time collecting the fallen leaves from Sandy. I use them for mulch in my garden and to insulate my fig trees for winter. My neighbors has them all out in neat piles by the curb. I also went around town and hand picked future firewood from their piles of downed trees...

    Smoking Indoors: My Ozone/Ionizer Results

    Are there any that just clean the air/remove particles from it rather than adding gas to it? It may not 'smell' fresh but the air would actually be fresh. I had no idea there were ozone units like this and that they could get us sick. Glad I read this post!

    Things I learned during the blackout

    Foggy- I agree that it's good for us to get back to our basics at times. It helps us think of what we've got. I also live in the NYC area, and I definitely learned some lessons from this storm. Foggy & Al, I will also be at the NYC pipe meeting next week. See you there!

    Just finished "It's Even Worse Than It Looks" by Mann/Ornstein - I highly recommend it to all US citizens. Also just finished "Hope, Human & Wild" by Bill McKibben.

    That's great! I have always thought about getting a bird, but considering my wife's limits, the poop is a major negative.     Cigars were my gateway to pipes. I too had a hard time finding cigars that I liked- at least all the way through. Pipes fit my personality more and my timing. Recently though, I have started smoking cigars again in conjunction with pipes.
