My sentiments exactly, Ol' Cajun! I use some pretty scrappy equipment and enjoy it all the same. I have learned so much in the time I have been smoking, esp from these forums, and my guess is that I will never stop learning. That's the fun of it for me.
I too have ordered from Black Dog Coffee and was very happy with their sampler. It gave me a lot of tastes I wouldn't normally try. They have a cigar following because of the former online cigar podcast called Dogwatch Cigar Radio. Black Dog coffee was a major supporter of the show. Any cigar...
Living and working in and around NYC I rarely see anyone smoking pipes and other than the men in the pipe club, I know of no one personally who smokes pipes. I know a few that smoke cigars so I will join them with a stick or pipe when time permits, but I am otherwise alone on my porch.
Once I relaxed a bit and got the hang of Breath smoking, my pipe experience improved tenfold. I had no idea just how fast I was smoking before and how much flavor I was missing. It became a completely new experience for me.
I agree with how well the site is set up and the attitudes here. I have learned most of what I know about pipes and pipe smoking from this forum. Thanks all!
Have a good trip 05venturer. I am looking forward to going to an all day BBQ with old friends tomorrow. There will be great food, and good drink and smokes by the pool.
Love the pics of those cobs, boys! I especially love yours tbradsim1. I will be joining all of you tomorrow when lighting up my cob.
I think everyone should have an MM cob in their rotation. They are very consistent and a pleasant smoke for me.
Fitzy- Sounds good, if the timing works out at that time. I can also drive up to meet you halfway if that helps.
For that matter, Romeowood, I can drive it down to you or bring it to that next NYC pipe club meeting should the timing work out.
Good grief. I can stock up and store pipe tobacco well enough. It's my cigars that I am worried about. I have a 150 ct humidor but that can be gone through quickly enough. Plus the humidor is very finicky. Too easy to go too dry or too wet. Pipe tobacco stores more easily in my opinion for years...
