    Brigham Estate Restoration (14 pictures)

There was a large fundraiser flea market in town this past weekend. I wandered through looking for pipes, found a couple interesting ones but the vendors were asking champagne prices for 7-up. Unbeknownst to me, my parents had rolled through earlier and my Mom picked up a pipe for me! I decided...

    Brigham Pipes

This is my Brigham 3 dot bent bulldog, probably from the late 60s early 70s (based on the maker mark). It was a flea market find. When I asked the seller if I could see it, he refused to pull the stem out, but was ok if I did it. The pipe had a HUGE amount of rank smelling cake, a dirty...

Which Online Retailers Deliver to Canada?

For those lucky enough to live a short way from the border another good option is parcel services. They're businesses set up on US border towns, and for a small fee, will accept mail for you to pick up. If you happen to stay in the US for 48+ hours, you can bring back 200gr of tobacco duty free.

    McClelland Bulk Available as Non-Bulk?

My local tobacconist told me that they will no longer be carrying their "Paradise Found" bulk. It seems they get most of their tinned tobaccos from McClelland, so it wouldn't surprise me if their bulks are supply by McClelland too. They describe Paradise Found as "Stoved and naturally aged, dark...

Empty Tobacco Tins - Any Creative Uses?

I saved a couple of the round aluminum tins to use in the shower to store shampoo bars and such, a few others now hold resistors and capacitors on my workbench.

So, this happened (TAD & PAD)

Thanks everyone! @eaglerico - Both of them are estates. What info I've been able to find seems to indicate they're from the late 70s.

Tobacco Products Banned at Pharmacies & Large Retail Outlets

@ravkesef - Crossing Portage & Main? Before my time :) There's usually a mayoral candidate who promises to reopen it to pedestrians, but it ain't happened yet. @4dotsasieni - The fine wine market at The Forks has a walk in cigar humidor. I hope lumberjakpipester has it right, there may be...

    Smoking a Bulldog Pipe

I really enjoy this shape for a pipe. I set out combing the local flea markets and antique stores and luckily found one. It was in rough shape, a lot of cake, tobacco still in the pipe, filter still in place from its last smoke. The stem was highly oxidized and didn't come out easily...I made...

Happy Harry's Bottle Shop South, Grand Forks, ND

Being the Victoria Day long weekend in Canada, and Grand Forks about 2.5 hours away, the store was jam packed full of shoppers getting cheap liquor. I didn't see a single unoccupied employee that I felt I could badger about tobacco. Next time!

Happy Harry's Bottle Shop South, Grand Forks, ND

As many of you know, Canadian tobacco prices are quite high. It's always worth running the gamble of a customs tariff grab to order from American online retailers. And when I visit a city in the US, I usually make it a point to try and snag some tobacco. So, today I went to Grand Forks and some...

    Victoria Day Weekend

Tomorrow, I'm driving down to Grand Forks, ND to pick up a BBQ. There's a liquor store named Happy Harry's with a new location that includes a humidor and proclaims "We now also carry an exciting selection of pipes, pipe tobacco, and pipe accessories at our south Grand Forks location. We would...
