Robert Ruark’s “Old Man” smoked Prince Albert regularly on their hunts - I tend to keep a tin of Dunhill 965 on the bookshelf in the cottage for warming up by the wood stove after a day in the field - or woods.- stogie37

50/50 Mix's
It’s not really 50/50, but I’ve been enjoying a mixture I made a while ago I call Yale Dropout: 50% C&D Yale Mixture, 25% G.L. Pease Samarra and 25% Dunhill the Aperitif. While Samarra doesn’t really lack anything IMO, the other two were falling flat. I love this as a first pipe of the day!- stogie37

What Do You Do With The Blends You Dont Like
I have a couple pounds each of C&D bulk Virginia Flake and Turkish Ismir that I mix in to create my own blends. Also, I sell blends sometimes and throw in some of these tins with the shipment with the caveat that they weren’t for me and to feel free to try them or pitch them.- stogie37

Peterson Pipes - Is This The Norm Or Was I Simply Unlucky
The dented nickel ring is a flag. This would not escape Peterson QC, and IMO likely happened after leaving the factory. The other issues are concerning and a pic or 2 would be great. I own almost a dozen Pete’s across multiple lines. 6 of these purchased over the past 6 years. All pass my QC... -
