    Not a special tin I plan on opening, but I'll need plenty of vitamin N to help digest. Plan on loading up a couple pipes with some 1792 and one with my own Lat blend that's been aging since March of 60% Irish X, 30% McC 2035, 10% blending latakia.

    Very nice. I really like the acorn(?) shaped one. I love how you gouged the briar to match the bamboo. I've never been particularly attracted to the bamboo pipes, but I would try to acquire that one if I saw it for sale.

    Andy, don't be afraid of swollen tins. I got several ( a couple different blends), and the 3 I've opened have been fine - even for weeks. In fact, they've been delicious!

    Personally, I'd jar it to observe (it will get plenty of O2 in the transfer and what's in the jar). I say this because I've had one of the blends mentioned dated 6-7-16 opened for about 4 weeks with no problems. In fact, this one that rhymes with Bemple Tar was so yummy that it's almost gone...
