    Moldy Temple Bar

I'm a bit confused - okay that's normal, but.. Was the tobacco moldy as soon as you opened the tin, or after sitting opened for 2 months? How would that stop any fungal growth already under-way? or did you do it to observe?

    C&D Black Frigate.

I think you nailed it. Although I often enjoy lat heavy blends, the propotion of latakia in BF seems just perfect to let the rest of the magic shine

    1792 Flake

One of my favorites. I love me some 1792. I love the flavor, strength, and room note. - Although, another member's wife described the aroma "Hot garbage" which still makes me smile every time I smoke some - so others assessment of room note may be different.

    My New Country Gentleman

I usually sand out the inside of new MMs a bit, but I agree it's not necessary. I just think the first couple bowls taste better that way.

PM sent Thank you for the generous offer. Jim's review got me salivating for this, but I thought just like Moztek Strang or the original BS, this was one I'd never get to try. Really looking forward to it.

How or Why Did You Start Smoking a Pipe?

started as a lark. - A friend and I at age 19 drunkenly deciding - "We should smoke pipes" ('92ish) Continued as a cheap way to smoke tobacco. ('92-94) Became the most flavorful and enjoyable way for me to smoke tobacco. ('98) Eventually, an enjoyable part of life (2000)

High Nicotine Blends with Good Room Note

That's one of the best lines I've heard in a long time! I only judge it as good because when I re-enter a room a while after smoking it, smells good to me. Probably not the most unbiased way to judge though
