Just Bought Another American Brewed Beer.

That cracked me up Jay. Reminded me of the old Monty Python line (from the days American Beer was mostly Budweiser style light lagers). "What do American beer and sex in a canoe have in common? They're both fucking close to water"

Jim's Lane Vanilla Black Cavendish Review.

Thanks for the review Jim. I think I'll pick some of this up as a mixer for those times I want to add a bit of Black Cav and Vanilla flavor to a plain blend

    What Defines A Boutique/Artisinal Blender?

What Michael said. Also, a boutique or artisan business usually implies more of a personal human touch by the primary artisan (in this case blender), than a large "assembly line" producer. I would consider Greg, Russ, Mike, and C&D to be boutique blenders in contrast to a company like Lane.

    True Perique

Yup. I think Mark deserves a lot of credit for helping to save perique and getting more awareness of the process out there. BTW, what ever happened to the OP? He was my secret Santa victim giftee last year. I often liked Harvey's posts.

    Pipe Closet

Tobacco in the clothes closet. Pipes in the open. I think the airflow/amount of air in the closet would be fine for the pipes, I just don't want to make my clothes smell any more like burnt tobacco than they already do

    Half Smoked Bowls

I've smoked 'em after a couple days. Depends on which tobacco I was smoking and my mood. The cobs I find in my car that have been sitting half smoked for a week or so, I just dump and start over.

    How Did You Get Started?

In 92/93, my 2nd year in college a friend and I got corncob pipes and some OTC cherry tobacco as a joke. I enjoyed it (I was also a cig smoker though) and continued smoking Bugler & Drum in the pipe for a while. I consider '98ish - after I moved to Colorado- to be my real start. I bought an...
