    Filter Or No Filter?

I don't usually use a filter in my pipes that accept them, but when I do use one I use the balsa wood. I put the balsa in the pipe and take it out after the pipe has pretty much cooled down. I then can clean the pipe and run a pipe cleaner through it. I let the filter dry and evaporate the...

    Soulless Tobacco Containers.

I definitely think the warning labels are BS Government intervention. If you haven't heard/seen the warnings by now, you're living under a rock anyway!

    Small is Beautiful ?

I don't care for the "Nose Warmer" pipes, but I do have a few smaller pipes I use when I'm trying out a new blend, or enjoying something that has a higher Nicotine hit than I usually smoke. The small pipes I did buy, were bought because they appealed to me for some reason, not necessarily for...

    Rim Charring

Try to always use a "soft flame" lighter, or a stick match. Avoid using a "Torch" lighter. Other than that, I believe all the previous posts have been outstanding recommendations!

    Lots Of Open Tins

I have probably, 75+ jars, from 1/2 Pint, which will hold 2 oz of Tobaccy, to 1 gallon jars, which will hold 1.25 lb. of tobaccy....all depending on the cut of the blend. I do have them labeled pretty good so I know what they are, but there are a few "unknowns." Maybe I'll get it straightened...

    Selling Valuable Cellared Tobacco

The blends i have bought and stashed in my cellar were bought for me to enjoy with my pipe smoking friends that I may have. I feel I'd be depriving myself, if I sold them simply for money. Trading for something else though, is a different matter. If my tastes change, which I doubt they will, I...

    Why do We Smoke Pipes?

I smoke a pipe simply for the fact that I enjoy the whole process. I usually choose a tobacco, then a pipe. I examine my tobacco, and begin to prepare it, to see if I need to let it dry a little, or if it's ready to go. I prepare it on a leather mat, or a round paper plate, carefully in a...

What Kind of Pipes do you Like and Why?

I have quite a few Basket pipes and Cobs that I acquired over the years with the Drug Store pipes I started with. Now I am drawn to the slightly Bent Dublins and the Bulldogs. I have been buying Peterson and Savinelli, (and various pipes that strike my fancy), for the last few years, (maybe 2...

This Tobacco is Crap! No it Isn't! New G.L. Pease Article

I am in kinda in the same boat as you are as I only have 2 taste buds when it comes to tobacco. 1, is I like it, and 2, is I don't care much for it. That don't mean I hate or dislike it, it just means I won't be smoking it unless I am out of other options. I'm not fond of intense aero-matics...
