Is There A Lighter That Doesn't Leak?
I've heard that also, but I was taught how to light a Cigar from a old Gentleman who owned and worked at his Tobacco shop all his life. He told me about the zippo fuel which has stuck with me all these years. When I did smoke cigarettes I used a zippo lighter to light them, but never inhaled...- huckleberry

A few years ago my wife bought me a KIRIBI pipe lighter and I can honestly say it was worth the money. I don't know if I just got lucky and got a good one, or if all of them really are this good. I started with a ZIPPO, but the lighter fluid gave my tobacco/cigars a faint taste of the fuel, so...- huckleberry

I completely understand your way of thinking! I too buy only pipes I plan on smoking. My problem is sometimes I forget where I put my new pipe, and then I find it later, (With maybe a few more pipes I've stashed), so it's like Christmas all year long. I'm in the category of not knowing exactly how many pipes I have, and I don't know how much tobaccy I have ether. If I had to guess, I'd say I have, in the neighborhood, of 50-75 pipes.
