    This will be my second Vauen in less than two weeks. I love using 9mm charcoal filters, better than 6mm version. I wanted to keep the price close to $100 for the classic. I haven't even smoked my lovat white dot yet. I had PAD, but hoping these two will be the cure. 😆

    First smoke in my new Rattray Emblem 157, slightly canted, with one of my favorites, Lane RLP-6. Great first smoke. Pipe smoked like a champ. Vauen 9mm filter used. Bai watermelon flavored water.

    My first smoke of July. Doc Cob with a Vauen 6mm filter, my mix tobacco (2/3 Lane Buttered Rum and 1/3 BCA). I didn't enjoy it and I'll never do that again. H2O was my drink.

    Well, I had my first smoke today with this blend. I wasn't crazy about it. I slightly prefered the mix over the BCA alone, but the Buttered Rum tasted better alone. This mix is no where as good as LL RLP-6 , HG-2000 or Sutliff Vanilla Custard.

    Sandblast vs Smooth - and the questionable art of partial blasting...

    I need to carry my pipes across the street to a park to smoke. Sandblast or rustic will show much less wear and tear. I do think a high quality grain on a smooth pipe does look the best.

    Just Mixed Lane Buttered Rum with BCA

    Ha, that's what i like! I use a filter, so that might reduce some of the sweetness. Sutliffs Molto Dolce is one of the few tobaccos that is too sweet even for me.
