    Consensus opinion

Completely different blend of tobaccos, but there's no arguing with the deliciousness of Sasieni. My most transcendent smoke to date was a bowl of Sasieni on the patio, and I've been chasing that high ever since. That said, I also love Sherlock and am stocked suuuuuper deep in both blends.

This is the pipe stand I never knew I needed!

Sutliff English Oriental #400341 (terrible name!) in a Cellini Original freehand. Dew point at 72F with the temperature at 74F, so it’s not pleasant outside.

My All Time Favorite Pipe Rest Is Done For. Anyone Know Where There Are More or Have One?

That looks vaguely… well, I’m reminded of certain paintings by Georgia O’Keefe…

Im looking for a replacement blend

You know that H&H is no longer in existence, a victim of the MacBaren/Sutliffocalypse, right?

    LJPeretti Tashkent review

It makes sense that you find most of the flavor from "the spicy incense like turkish tobacco and the smoky and earthy latakia," as those are the only two ingredients! All gentle joshing aside, Tashkent is one fantastic tobacco. Enjoy!

Dunhill Aperitif In Memoriam: Of If Cointreau Was A Blend.

This is on my unicorn list of tobaccos to try. So delighted you got such a lovely gift from @Mike N! Have you had C&D Cordial, which they say is formulated as an homage to Aperitif?

    Peterson Holmes

As one who loves the topping in Sherlock Holmes, I have zero advice to give on "burning off" the flavor, @The_Non_Compliant_One. I might recommend you also avoid Royal Yacht, which has a very similar topping (and is accordingly also quite excellent to my taste buds).

    Low Country Natural Virginia

I’ve only smoked the Windsail Silver so I can’t compare across the product line. For $22/lb, you can’t go wrong giving it a try yourself. It comes as dry as can be in the bag (as do all Daughters & Ryan products) but does not need rehydration to smoke well.

    Low Country Natural Virginia

I can’t tell you for certain, as I really enjoy the Low Country Natural VA+Oriental blend, and even use it as the base in some of my home mixes. The Natural VA in comparison is a little plain, and gives off jar notes of strong grass/hay. I bagged some of the LC NatVA this past week to send to a...

***What Are You Smoking, August 2025?***

Miller's Mulch (a custom blend for a UW-Madison professor by the long-gone Tobacco Bar in Madison, WI) in a Peterson Sherlock Holmes series Milverton. This is one stout tobacco blend, composed of 69% cube-cut burley, 18.5% Lane BCA, and 12.5% latakia. It gave me the wooblies for sure.

Samuel Gawith - Cannon Plug Review

No, they have not. For larger portions (like the 8oz portions discussed in this thread), they use a sealed plastic tray in a box, but they most certainly do continue to release 50g tins.

The One Peterson Pipe I Wouldn't Recommend Buying.

The SH I have (Milverton) is not a system pipe, I believe none of them are.

GH Sliced Brown Twist in a Briarworks C12. This is a stout blend, got my legs a little woobly when I went to stand up!
