Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and green beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm smoking year 2010 Penzance in a 1990s smooth dark brown medium bend Peterson Captain Pete XL80 bulldog with a metal accent and a black vulcanite p-lip stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the Braves-Mets game.

A bit of a change of pace this morning. My wife left out for a trip back to Louisville, KY. to visit friends and family so I am "baching" it for a for a couple of days. After rounding up the horses for fly spray and inspection, I grabbed a few essentials, jumped in the Jeep and headed to Columbia, TN. to Briarworks Pipe store. Not many folks there which is a big contrast to the other times I have visited when they have the Muletown Pipe show, each March. These shows are just crammed full of visitors....

I brought my recently purchased Roush Poker and showed it to them. They knew Larry Roush and had nothing but the greatest of respect and admiration for him and his work. So @Briarcutter , you have many fans down in middle Tennessee.

I looked at their pipes, but the pickin's were slim as the inventory was down, but I did buy a couple of jars of their blends. I loaded my pipe with some "Back Down South" which is a very nice VaPer and enjoyed a Yuengling lager while taking in the atmosphere. I continued my smoke as I drove back home. All in all a nice time and a break in the routine.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am part way through this bowl of year 2012 Anniversary Kake in a smooth medium bend 1980 Century 100 Year Old Briar (GBD second) natural chubby egg with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This will last a while. Paid $14.95 at my local Tinderbox for this one. Good smoker.
