    Pipe Lighters

Oh yeah, about the Eddie, I'm not sure if my flame adjustment/fuel is bad but mine seems to get pretty black and sooty around the flip cap.

    ABC's Castle

I really enjoy Castle as well, been watching it on Hulu. One of my favorite parts is in(no spoilers) "Swan Song" where Castle hums the theme before the commercial fade to black Possible spoilers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDAhehCerPM

    Pipe Lighters

I've got a Tsubota Pearl Eddie lighter. The only issue for me was under the flip top there is a spring and a little "T" made of plastic that fell out/broke. I emailed Tsubota's customer service and they sent me 2 from Japan. I'm able to adjust the flame with my fingernail.

    English Recommendations?

Tried a bowlful of Fusilier's Ration the other day and thought it was fantastic. It's Russ Ouilette's take on Bengal Slices.

How Much Is Too Much - When Showing Off Your PAD?

If you've got the funds for some crazy PAD more power to you! I'm just in it for the pipe porn, no anger issues here. Although, I could see someone getting angry if the pipe someone was showing off was one another person was bidding on. I'm sure it's happened on a few occasions considering how...

    Turned Some Tampers!

@Winston, these two items are the only things I've turned on my lathe. I've turned a pen and a christmas ornament at the store but most of the process was already completed by the people there.

    Turned Some Tampers!

Thanks for the kind words. Winton, thanks for the advice. I need to find a good source of free wood. So far I've been using pen blanks to test out what kind of woods are easy to turn.

    Turned Some Tampers!

Ordered a lathe the last week in November and finally got it last week. Here are my first two turnings, the first one is a zebrawood "baseball bat" tamper and the second is a curly maple pawn. The Pawn was a pain, it broke off before I had a chance to finish it so I had to improvise with a jamb...

Information and Advice Sought On Antique Pipes

If it's a dated pipe you want I would suggest finding a pipe with silver on it that was made in England. Hallmarks are relatively painless to look up and a great way to date pipes made by manufacturers, who do not date stamp the pipes themselves.

    Sam Gawith TAD

They actually had a few grousemoor tins but I'm still working on the one I have (two bowls down.) I haven't tried any of these blends yet, but I'm looking forward to it since these seem to be on the top of many people's lists.

Ordered Grousemoor and FVF for First Time

I've tried Grousemoor but haven't tried FVF yet. It's been a love hate relationship with Grousemoor. The first time I tried it, I took a few puffs, and it reminded me of that old lady purfume, you know the one that stings your nose and I had to dump the bowl. Second time around, about six months...

    Sam Gawith TAD

Took a roadtrip last weekend and stopped by a B&M that had a bunch of Sam Gawith tins, Picked up: Two tins of FVF One tin of Best Brown Flake Two tins of Commonwealth and two tins of St. James Flake Thinking about popping open one of the FVF's since I already have some in the cellar.

    Rad Davis Castello 55 Interpretation

Very nice Peckin, love the boxwood. Gray, if you're interested in a zulu blast I suggest giving Rad an email to see about comissioning one. The pipes in his updates seem to sell before I can even get a chance to look at them even though my phone is linked to my email.
