What do you recommend? I know reactions can occur with oil and plastic but didn't know acrylic and ethanol... I haven't had issues so far I've noticed but only been my cheaper cobs really.- NookersTheCat

If you're cleaning the inside of the bowl with it probably. Alcohol will definitely dissolve all the tar. Now cake is kind of a mix of tar and carbon so.. idk that it will dissolve the carbon itself but prob break it down and wash it away with the tar. I feel for ya man.. personally it was only after McClelland went down that I even realized I liked Virginia's (luckily bought a few tins of Cheer previously on a lark) but afterwards I mostly focused on C&D's offerings in the VA arena (esp reds) since I figured (heard) they were the next best...- NookersTheCat

C&D is fine (certainly a heck of alot more people slobbering over them then there were 36 hours ago :ROFLMAO: ) it's just that they (in general) serve a different kind of style/niche than Sutliff/MacBaren did.
