Do You Smoke Primarily with Nose or Mouth or Both?
Always always always retrohale... I couldn't imagine the point of pipe smoking without it... even when eating food a significant portion of the flavour you perceive comes from scent. Now, with cigars, I still retrohale... but I make a point to do it much lighter... say, exhaling 90% of smoke...- NookersTheCat

Yeah it would definitely not work directly. You need the charcloth or some other accelerant-like tinder to take the spark and make an ember. Then you have to turn that ember into a flame. How's it going? Yeah I've only tried the "Sherman's March" so far as rum and maple are two of my more favorite flavorings. I would describe it as good and honest for what it is. Thank you!! I believe it is a Pioneer but not positive. I purchased it used but unsmoked on ebay quite a few years ago. I believe the listing said Pioneer brand as well and I have seen other Pioneers online and they look the very same; with a briar shank piece with simply "Austria" carved on it...- NookersTheCat
