    filter stuck in the pipe

Way outside the box idea: Go to a hardware store and get an easy out bit......they're designed for getting broken bolts and screws out but the right size might work to get your filter out.

I would love a review on different burleys.....great idea Cosmic! It would be a great resource for those of us thinking about dipping a toe into the world of home blending.

How Do You Spot A Fake Cuban Cigar?

Guess I shouldn't believe that Ole and Sven are selling real Cubans out of the back of their pickup at the Lutheran church; was wondering if cigars were supposed to smell of lutefisk!

Plum Pudding, Bengal Slices and ______________?

Fusilier's Ration is similar to Bengal Slices. It was Russ's first attempt to replicate the old Bengal Slices. I find Fusilier's to be softer than the new Bengal Slices; still plenty of latakia.

Good timing for the thread; I just picked up a tin of this in my last order. It is a little damp from the tin but smokeable at a slow cadence for me. I pick up some wine notes as I enjoy a cob full and sometimes I reach for it because it is just a little different flavor profile, kind of...

    Reiner 71: Long Golden Flake

Picked up a tin of this after reading the review on another forum. Comes in a 3.5 ounce can and is one long flake rolled up. Tin note is grass with a hint of fruit. The moisture level was perfect for me to load with just a little rubbing out. Lights very well with only one relight needed...

    Question Regarding Signature Rule

I don't mind the images; allows for some to individualize their account. I have broadband so I don't have the issues with slow loading that some forum members do.

    Did Some Stupid

I started smoking last year and decided to have a goal of cellaring 5 pounds a year. After a year and a half I have over 20 pounds tucked away.....god help me there's another 20% off P&C coupon in the box I opened yesterday. At least I'll have plenty of options to smoke when I'm shooting...

    Online Retailers & Jars

The power of suggestion and cheap apples leads to a crock pot full of granny smith apples sugar and spices cooking down to apple butter. The house does smell amazing though!

Also there is Black Frigate if you like a little rum with your English......don't worry about the scurvy and syphilis; after all the brotherhood of the Black Frigate on the forum are mostly okay.....for now.

Need help finding some great English Blends

Being a beginner if money is an issue try Peter Stokkebye's Proper English which is a bulk blend and you can buy an ounce or two to try. MM965, 3 Oaks Syrian, Bengal Slices, and John Cotton's Smyrna will give you a wide variety of what an English can be.

    A Newbie Reviews: Dunhill MM965

Cavendish- Since Cavendish is not a tobacco but a process, it’s difficult to discuss its use as a blending component since it can be made of Burley, Virginia and/or Orientals. One form, however, that is frequently used is unflavored Black Cavendish (also known, mostly in the UK) as Brown...

    Luxury Navy Flake Price Hike

LNF used to be a lot cheaper than LBF for the 1.5 pound box. The price increase now has the 2 blends equally priced so I think that was the reason for the change. The new PA tobacco tax only applies to sales to people within PA.

Is Hearth & Home's Marquee Line Actually Going Away?

The way the FDA rules are they can conceivably sell for 2 more years before being forced from the market. Chances are they'll draw down all their stock months before that.
