Bought a Baki Meerschaum -- Shank Band Issue?

I own several Baki’s. All excellent smokers. One especially, the singular best smoker in my (many) years of meerschaum collecting.

What Do You Think About Ken Byron Blends?

I am working my way through a bunch of Ken Byron ‘s blends. I really like ‘em. I also like how they’re packaged. Opinions? PS: I smoke them all in Meerschaums. Like my friend, the late Fred Bass, I’m a “Meerschaum Man.”

    What Are Meers For?

I suggest that you smoke any tobacco that you like. I would not call it “valuable” but $15 was a good deal. Enjoy it like you’d enjoy any pipe.

    Sakura's In Stock At KBV?

I’m smoking Sakura right now. I’ve also tried Burley Morning Pipe, Robo Burlesque and Dark Fired Cherry. My impressions are positive. The blends are enjoyable, the shipping is fast and the packaging is fine. I’m becoming a fan.

The Good, the Favorite and the Everyday

My meerschaum collection has been in flux for more than 40 years. It has stabilized to 16 pipes that I smoke, mostly by Baki and Bekler. At age 67, I’ve pretty much stopped acquiring. The ones I’ve kept are the best ones for me. Of course, that could change ?

    Post-Smoking Mouth Care

I rinse with CVS Biotine equivalent after each pipe. (I usually smoke one bowl in the morning and one in the late afternoon.)

    All About J.L. Peretti

I‘ve smoked their blends for years. Lived in Boston in the 70’s, used to smoke an aro named Lexington, which had grape notes (I seem to remember). I think Tashkent is amazing, and I am also a fan of Thanksgiving Day -- two very different examples.

    LJ Peretti

I’ve tried many, many of their blends since the early 70’s, and for me, Tashkent is a standout.

Has Anyone Had Any Experience With the EBay Seller 'deadmanspipes'?

If this is the same guy who had his own website (also Dead Mans Pipes) maybe 15 years ago ... then I can recommend. He sold many pipes for me, and was great to deal with.
