    Good day (or evening) all! Smoking Surbrugs Crystal Palace (a Wilke blend) with a pinch of Wilke Royal Scot added. This afternoon’s pipe is a medium sized Bekler carved meerschaum.

    Currently, I favor Wilke and KBV. I enjoy the novelty of so many interesting blends. For many years, Steve Books’ House of Calabash blends were my clear favorites.

    Steve Brooks and Grandpa Blend

    I was a fan of his expensive, yet in my opinion, worth it, blends. I smoked most all of his offerings, but “For Meerschaums Only” was my favorite. There were two versions, each top drawer. Grandfathers Own was also greatly enjoyed. R.I.P. Mr. Books.
