Only 3 bowls on new briar? I’d say just ride it out and keep smoking. Once you get some char and cake buildup, might cover up the fragrant oils? Not sure but that’s probably what I’d do. Smoke several bowls and see if the ghost diminishes. If so, then maybe you’re in luck and it’ll move out someday.- F4RM3R

Having a drink with your smoke?
Ya I definitely does! Strong drinks like that definitely dull the tastebuds. I find it’s mostly for a minute or two after I have a sip and then it fades, but it still has an effect for the whole bowl, even if it’s minor when your not constantly sippin. doesn’t mean you can’t have an enjoyable...- F4RM3R

Casing vs Topping?
In the case of stoving or steaming tobacco, casing is usually added before this process and topping added after. Drilling a filter hole on pipe
If you have a filter pipe to reference from it shouldn’t be too hard. If you have never own or seen the inside of a filter pipe up close then it might need some study beforehand. if it will fit then I’d say go for it. to all those people who are saying “just buy a filter pipe wtf u doin?”...- F4RM3R

Not sure "trance" is the right word. It is possible to enter a trance with tobacco, but it's probably not good idea unless you are a highly trained shaman. I think trance fits it pretty well for me. Nicotine surprise
It depends on the leaf and sugar content too. Although a Virginia may have less nicotine than some burleys, it will hit harder on inhaling because the sugars raise the acidity in the smoke and increases the absorption in the lungs. Do You Lean Virginia Or Burley?
I like and appreciate both but tend to prefer strong and spicy blends that burn cool. Burley/Kentucky fit the bill with their low sugars and high nic, but to balance things I prefer to have a little Virginia in the mix. Georg Jensen Pipes - Models, Shapes, Info, and Mysteries
Great post! I’ve been eyeing up some georg jensens as I’ve seen them popping up recently. Very good bang for the buck it seems. Just picked up one on eBay and just noticed right now as I look at the pics closer, that it’s one of those handwritten style signatures. Cost around 27usd with shipping. -
The Tonka Bean: An Ingredient So Good It Has to Be Illegal
Can get them here in Canada without being arrested. They are tricky to find in store but I got some and crush them up and throw them in some bourbon to soak and spray that on blends. It’s nice with English blends, but has a great flavour that can really work with many styles of blends.- F4RM3R

What did you get? Many people enjoy filter pipes and there are many respected pipe makers who have them in their lineup. I’ve recently decided to try filters as I have a few 9mm pipes and some cobs that take filters but I’ve never tried them. Have to say I definitely enjoy them both quite a bit...- F4RM3R
