Refurbish an old calabash or leave it be?
They are very reasonable, one pipe I had I thought was unfixable, they did it for 18 bucks, they have fixed a few of my pipes, and I am, at some point, going to send two or three more in for some stem replacements.- jchaplick

Ember chasing
My pipe club holds smoking contests about once a month. Our president is Mike Doc Garr, he has been the North American pipe smoking champion several times. Today marks the 75th anniversary of a historic day.
My dad works at lakehurst naval air station. The Hindenburg hangar is still there, its so big that on days that its humid out, clouds can form inside and it can rain even when its sunny outside.- jchaplick

I dont know about you guys, but for me, all things considered, its as enjoyable as my pipe. That is if you consider the time investment with the pipe and everything else. Any one else use snuff?
Ill take this as an update to my mr snuff post (which still hasnt come in yet) Does any one else partake in the age old practice of snuff use? Its another antiquated form of tobacco use, so I figured i would bring it up, us pipe smokers are a bit different in our habits. Thanks john- jchaplick

Follow on to How Many Bowls per Day
Ive been taught to use one pipe a day, and give it as many days of rest as you can. If you grab one pipe smoke it for the day, (with a loose three bowl limit) and smoke a different pipe the next day.
