They just have to be cowboy loads, it has to be under 1000 fps. as far as the caliber, 45 works just as well as 44, you actually use a 45 cal ball, which is a little bigger than a 45 cal bullet, granted you shave off some of the bullet, but the size difference is negligible- jchaplick

Im at wilkes right now! I read them, they were great Yeah, eventually, but I will keep the blackpowder cylinder, I love blackpowder, but cartridges are so much easier. Im not going to modify the gun at all, just grab a drop in cylinder.- jchaplick

Sutliff Private Stock; Great Outdoors
