It's looking good, gwtwdbss... I'll probably end up trying an estate and a Grabow but I don't know which direction I'll take first. The Grabow is obviously the easier option but I'll keep my eyes peeled on eBay for some decent estates. -

Regarding tobacco, assaad is right on the money. Good luck trying to get tobacco farms around the world to go organic. If you have a blend with African virginias, Turkish orientals, and Syrian latakia, then you have a fat chance that you'd ever get organic certification even if all hands...- sparroa

Pipe rotation
I only smoke cobs so far, and since I go through 1-2 bowls a day max, I tend to use the same pipe with several hours spaced in between. I don't think there is anything wrong with certified organic meat and produce or any other foodstuff for that matter. New Stem for a Missouri Meerschaum Cob Pipe. Worth it?
It's fine to get a custom stem, but I can almost guarantee you that you will want several cobs when you finally get to try them. It never hurts to have a few replacement stems on hand, considering they only cost about a $1.50 - I'd rather go that route than have to replace a well worn yet good...- sparroa
