Are there any good VAPERS & VA blends that do not need aging to be enjoyed?
steelman, I wouldn't say that a va/per needs aging to be truly enjoyed - as far as I'm concerned they are a completely different tobacco with age. The perique settles into the background as the Virginias get richer and sweeter. If you prefer a spicier, perique-driven smoke then aging is actually...- sparroa

Salt & alcohol treatment, really?
I'm no expert but using a bristle pipe cleaner in the shank doesn't seem like it will rectify your overuse situation... Using a briar that often may be your biggest problem... I should mention in this thread that I've gone the estate route; a new Omega Smooth will be on the backburner, indefinitely. I picked up a couple of straight pipes: Grabow Viscount (unfiltered), Frank Medico, and a Grabow Grand Duke (apple shape)... They are in the mail as we speak - I hope they... -

Not only that it'll probably take on the smells of whatever is in the fridge... Onion or garlic blend, anyone? Tobacco will last for ages if it is stored properly at room temperature so there's no need for special set ups like refrigeration. As has been noted, it'll do far more harm than good.- sparroa

Advice on my next TAD Order
I haven't had them but aren't the Frog Morton blends fairly mild? That leads me to believe you'd enjoy a stronger latakia flavour than they offer. Especially since you can't walk to a B&M to get them, that makes it a bigger decision... I haven't had it yet but GLP Odyssey is next on my wishlist...- sparroa

If I had easy access to a variety of blends I'd always sample this and that to some degree, but I guess I'm trying to plan ahead for the scenario where I'm faced with a dearth of options.
