More WHO-CDC Propaganda Peddled by CNN

I just saw this now... I read through some of the comments; people can be so dumb and intolerant. Juvat, I love how some people think smoking tobacco causes cancer but smoking marijuana is miraculous health cure - a gift from above. The inhalation of smoke will probably cause problems over many...

    Really weird dizziness! Help please!

It's funny that you should say that since I find I am most sensitive to burley. No doubt there are others, though...

    B&M tobacco names

The biggest question I have is what do they already have in stock? You mentioned an expansion of their pipe tobacco... Maybe they just carry OTC brands or something? Aromatics would probably be his bread and butter so it'd be wise to have a nice variety of high quality examples. Other than that...

Off topic: Best Beer Commercial Ever?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-QDItW2SIs&feature=channel&list=UL That is one of my favourites; a deconstruction of a lot of mainstream beer "technology" by Schlafly!

    Member Missing?

Man, that's too bad... It's common for people to come and go on forums - I just came back after a year and a half myself - but it's another thing entirely to take off on your obligations like that. Sorry about this nsfisher, that's a tough break. Hopefully there will be some resolution.

    Quick Penzance Question

I bought two tins a year and a half ago when a small shipment was received. I wanted 8oz bags of Stonehaven the most but it was instantaneously sold out; the bulk Penzance followed soon after but I did manage to snag the two tins of Penzance and three tins of Kingfisher... I was a little let...

    Really weird dizziness! Help please!

With your elaboration on the subject, it definitely just sounds like nicotine. All the others agree because it has happened at one time or another to them. It is part of the early pipe smoking experience; you have to gauge your tolerance and respect it thereafter or constantly challenge it by...

    Really weird dizziness! Help please!

It sounds like the nicotine levels are too high for you, despite the fact that you have eaten. I have not had that tobacco, however, Tobacco Reviews lists it as "Mild" in nicotine. Everyone's personal body chemistry is different so you may be a rare individual that is affected by this blend...

    Bayou Morning (bulk)

Thanks sothron. It's currently out of stock at my go-to vendor but I'll be keeping an eye out for it... I sense it's been popular.

    Aromatic question

Lawrence, I see what you are saying regarding latakia as an aromatic tobacco but I think the popular definition at least puts those blends in a league of their own. When somebody asks about an aromatic, I for one automatically refer to the heavily flavoured tobaccos. Erinmore, Lakelands, Navy...

    Aromatic question

I'd say that you will find that most aromatics are sweet, particularly those popular bulks we all know about, but there are probably many exceptions of a heavily cased/topped blend where sweetness is offset by the other ingredients. I am not much of an aromatic smoker so I'm not full of examples...

Savinelli Bing on ebay - expires soon

Looks decent, not my first choice for finish or stem, however... Thanks for bringing it to our attention. Still no bids at 3 min.

    B&M tobacco names

Great suggestion on the naming, shaintiques. It's a nonsensical approach for a B&M to take credit for a blend that they had no hand in creating. They miss out on all of the name recognition that the established brand brings and they are essentially putting on airs as tobacco blenders... If they...

    BOB'S Chocolate Flake

My Bob's is hardly an aromatic anymore but it is probably none the worse for it... (It is actually older than I thought, being jarred in January 2011) The soapy Lakeland essence is largely gone and the chocolate is very faint but still present. A slight sweetness from the topping remains, but it...

    Solani's Aged Burley Flake

Handling loose cut tobacco is generally much more familiar to most people - I found it simpler to just go that route from the start. If someone grew up in the UK and all they ever smoked was flakes, I'd understand their different POV! You'll find varied burning rates and some say varied flavours...

McClelland Tin similar to 5100 (Side question on aging)

Blackwoods is sweeter? Thanks JC - I will focus my efforts there. It is one of the most popular blends on Tobacco Reviews, so it has always been on my radar, but I've been remiss in failing to try it after so long. PS: Is St. James Woods essentially just Blackwoods plus Perique or are they...

    Solani's Aged Burley Flake

Mick, I'd say most of your problems with this and other blends are moisture related. Straight out of the tin most tobaccos will be quite moist, but some are worse than others. If you really have no luck, rub some out and leave it until it is obviously dry and try again. This could take hours and...

    Bayou Morning (bulk)

Thanks Mark, but I think that's been out of stock for quite awhile now. Most of the Dan products are depleted. Cortez, I appreciate the 4noggins recommendation. I still haven't tried any of Rich's blends so Prairie Wind will be the first! I'll probably fire up the Bayou Morning again in a...

    Addicted...

That's the way I look at it, ruraldean... I have smoked my pipe 5 times in a day and it is nowhere near as good as that one bowl that hits the sweet spot in the early morning or late at night... I certainly find diminishing returns when I make it a frequent habit. I'll agree that pipe smoking...
