    Latest Work in Progress!

Here is the latest one I've been working on. Thought I'd post what I have after a couple times in the shop to work on it. I call it a Rhode-Paul.

    Ash blocking air hole.

Let the pipe cool, remove the stem and then run the cleaner into it.......... I've been known to take stems off while the pipe is hot and guess I've been lucky, as so far, no ill effects from this. But once I'm smoking, I hate to take the time for the pipe to cool. :)

Help me please....Tobacco is sinking in water

One thing, Your in an area with little or no humidity, so it should dry pretty quickly....... As for how dry, let it dry till it's the humidity level that you like to smoke, then put it back in a dry jar. If it were me, I'd probably do as suggested and smoke that batch first, just to be on the...

    My Pipe Rack

Wildcat, good way to hide the PAD/TAD funds too......... out of sight. Great find for the money. I have a buddy has one like that........ has the jars hidden the same way. Only difference is that on the bottom, his rack has complete holes rather than open slots. But other than that, the same rack.

    I feel accomplished!

    "Drunken Poker 2.0"

BB. It's a factory made that I heavily modified it and drilled it open to 5/32 and funneled both the button end and the Deleon tenon.

    Ash blocking air hole.

Once in a great while I have this problem. What I usually do is too run a pipe cleaner into the airway, enough so that I know it has run down into the bowl. I then use my pick too lightly stir the ash itself and then lightly dump, removing the ash. Then I retamp what is left evening it in the...

    $100 pipes and expectations

If I recieved a new pipe that I wasn't happy with for any reason, I'd not smoke it. I'd contact the seller, explain my problem with it and let them have the opportunity to make it right to me. Be it exchange the pipe, or if I was in aggreement, take a partial refund and keep the pipe. I've had...

    Sealed Tins and the Airport

I haven't carried tins, but have on several occasions carried tobacco in glass jars in my carry on and never been asked. As for lighters, I always carry my Pipe Maggie and only thing I've had to do is first tell them what it is, then show them how it works. I always put that in one of the bins...

    "Drunken Poker 2.0"

I may just do that.......... I like the way they both turned out. And the first one, although cracked all the way across the bottom hasn't blown out yet. :) The first one must be a bit more drunk than this one, as it won't stand up........ LOL I actually had this one made when I deciced to angle...

    "Drunken Poker 2.0"

I've been working on this one for a bit. Then broke my leg and couldn't get to the shop. Then once I was able to hobble round just a bit, I had too get ready for the pipe show. Today I finally got a bit of time and finished it up. I cut the bottom to make it a Cherrywood shape and it sets...

    Boomerangs!!

Kinda like Klik-Klaks. Remember those. Fun until they shattered into sharp shards of resin. Bruised yor arms, too. Remember them........ when I was a kid in the early 70's My parents worked for a company made them, by the thousands. Our job was to make the resin balls themselves. Talk about...

    Pics St Louis 2012!

The show was great for me as usual. With my broken leg and crutches, I spent most my time setting at my table. I only got up and made one round amoungst all the other sellers and didn't take the camera with me. But I did take 4 pictures from my seat at my table and am posting them here. Anyone...

    Beer..the key to American success?

Beer itself was a success story, that is until Budwieser sold to a company out of country. :)

Drunken Poker Finished! (Not For Sale)

Zanthal, your correct about the 1+ hour of smoking. I've now smoked this pipe twice, only filling it 1/2 to 2/3 the way full. Both smoked very well for well over an hour. The bore on both pipes is 7/8" and over 2" deep. And although both pipes are bigger, both are light for the size so clenching...

Grrrr, my wife found my PAD, TAD stash.

Well, having the account without her knowing about it may have been wrong, but for her to find it and then figure out where to spend it without conversing with you was also wrong. Two wrongs making a right? I think not. I don't have a seperate account, she is able to check and remove/add too...

Nervous about the pipe show Saturday

Irish, I'll be there and have been the last six shows. St. Louis is a good show. Good folks too. One wall of the building is all windows. You can smoke insideso that will keep you at ease. Plus there are plenty of exits so that you can get fresh air any time you need. Look me up. Buddy and I...
