    Music While Smoking?

It's been a long week (so long I forgot how to embed videos), as it's been Homecoming at my high school Few things are more loathsome to me. (Yes, I'm cranky.) Anyway, this helps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0f1k14GQmNE

    Favorite Cornell & Diehl Blends?

Here's another Star Of The East fan. Lovely blend. I also like their Virginia flakes, especially After Hours and Sunday Picnic. There are lots of threads about glass-jar storage on the forum. Click on Roth's name above and look through the posts on which he's commented. (There are other good...

    The Rectangle Tin Debate

I had a square tin of FVF unseal itself a few months ago. I had it in an airtight plastic bin (and it must have had a fairly high moisture level to begin with, which isn't surprising) no harm was done. It did make me more aware of the square tins, though, and I think Peck has the right idea.

    Esoterica Penzance

I like Penzance and will buy it at my local B&M if the stars are aligned, but that doesn't happen a lot. My substitute is GLP Quiet Nights. It's not a duplicate of Penzance (and has its own excellent qualities), but it's a similar blend, to my taste, anyway, and it's readily available in the...

JackKnife vs. Triple Play. The Rumble in the GL Pease Jungle

I tried the TP first because I like perique. It's lovely, as others have mentioned, with a light citrus note. Then, the B&M was out of TP but had JKP, so I bought that, thinking it would be the same blend without perique and that I might not like it as much. I was wrong -- it's my favorite...

    Wife/Girlfriend/Family Thread

My lovely wife is playing harp at the White House. (Never mind the contra-alto flute in front; I couldn't edit it.)

    "Full Size" Flake Recommendations

That Heinrich's Dark Strong Flake is really nice. Licorice. I'm enjoying it right now. You need to get it out of the paint can and into a jar, though, as mentioned above.

    Any Good Classic Book Recomendations?

I'll plug the Aubrey/Maturin novels by Patrick O'Brien. Outstanding historical fiction about life in the British navy - excitement, adventure, etc. Chesterton's The Man Who Was Thursday also gets my vote. Austen's novels only get better with repeated readings, at least to me. Trollope is also...

    C&D Pasha's Dream

This is on sale at smokingpipes.com for $5.49 for two ounces. It looks like a crossover English. Pipestud gives it high marks on tobaccoreviews.com - anybody else like it? Craig Stark's blend is also on sale. It's hard to beat $2.75 an ounce.

    NBC Nightly News the Sunday

Cursive handwriting gives any person, no matter how poor or poorly educated, an opportunity to make something beautiful with a minimum of expense. It may well be the first real accomplishment a young person experiences; before most of them are old enough to run a marathon, throw a baseball 60...

    MM 965 Then and Now

Didn't someone post a listing of ingredients by percentage for some of the Dunhill blends on this forum a few months ago? I seem to recall some propylene glycol in the mix, which, I assume was not in Murray's version. That might make a difference, at least psychologically.

Any Interest In Getting Bulwark Flake Distributed In The US ?

More flakes are always a good thing, as I see it. I enjoy the Lakeland essence in any dose, too, so this would be something I'd love to try.

    G. L. Pease Variety

Hey, Roth - excellent. I missed that in my search. Thanks for pointing it out. Haven't had the ready-rubbed yet, but I've been enjoying the plug.
