    What Shape is This Radice?

oops I tried pasting from my forum album, but couldn't make it work. I'll keep trying

    What Shape is This Radice?

I got this pipe used 10 years or so ago and have always called it a bulldog, knowing this is probably inaccurate. Recently, I've seen a lot of discussion about the author shape, and this seems closer. Knowing Radice's "artistic license" with shapes, this could probably fall into more than one...

    Royal Yacht

I enjoy RY quite a bit. I had never considered smoking it until about a year or so ago, but Brett made me a convert. I don't wax poetic about it like him, but it is an enjoyable blend

A Can of Worms - Mixing Stuff

I mix all the time. Once in a while, I have an idea for a blend and mix larger (4oz.) batches that I press & age, but most often I just mix a bowl or 2 at a time. I smoke a mix every few days. Sometimes it's adding some Brown Bogie to an aromatic for a bit more strength with the great room...

C&D Corncob Pipe and a Button Nose

I like CCP&aBN as an occasional smoke. I like a lot of "light" aromatics (meaning just a trace of flavor/aroma), but this one and Autumn Evening are very good heavier aros IMHO. C&D seems to do the genre of decent strength aromatic very well.

What Music Are You Listening To? (November 2017)

You said it. I always thought of it as more an attitude and pushing conventions more than a musical style. Even though Mr. Lydon would disagree with me, I consider The Ramones to be the first. I once heard a great quote that the early British punk was political rebellion, whereas the early...

    Falcon Pipes

I've always been curious about Falcons, but never bought one. When PAD strikes my limited pipe budget there's always another priority. Interesting idea for the push in style to replace the threaded bowls

    Those We Have Loved!

I came back after being inactive for a while and noticed no more Nate. We exchanged some tobacco and I always liked his posts. He was also a very generous guy (although he'd probably deny it).

To Snork or Not to Snork

I do it all the time without really thinking about it. That's how I smoked cigarettes too, so it was just sort of natural for me.

    Snap Goes The Stem

D'oh! I did the same thing several years ago with a Radice. Luckily I was able to get it fixed pretty inexpensively. Good luck!

C&D Carolina Red Flake is Back

Opening night is a very good complex VA. I've enjoyed a few tins. Haven't had any in quite a while though, thanks for the reminder

    Next Single Malt To Buy?

Talisker 10. The 18 is amazing, but a little pricier. The 10 is darn tasty. for something a little sweeter, Cardhu. I haven't had any scotch for years, but I used to enjoy these quite a bit. Okay, a lot.

Nice one. Always wanted a Boswell. I love the finish on that pipe

New Film 'Loving Vincent' Shows Lots of Briar Action

One of my favorite artists! His paintings were the inspiration for the texture and color combinations for more than one of my lighting designs. I'll definitely check this one out. Thanks Briarfire!

Fictitious Estate Pipe Back Stories - a Creative Challenge

Resurrecting one I'd like to see continue... I think lifesizehobbit had a great idea with this one. The new C&D Lovecraft themed tobaccos reminded me of this thread and my (bad) Lovecraft style story. But I remembered thinking this thread had potential and being disappointed it never took...

    Switching from Cigarettes

I'd run a pipe cleaner through after every smoke. If you don't have them, don't worry too much though, cobs are very forgiving. Around here though, gas stations, Walgreens, and grocery stores all carry pipe cleaners. Welcome and good luck

I Thought I'd Seen Everything But 'Beer Bikes'?

I think the idea is brilliant. I don't drink anymore, but think it sounds like lots of fun for those who do. Residents should probably consider that the drinkers will be far too tired to cause any real trouble after that kind of session. Much better than drunks stumbling out of bars looking...
