Don't be so fast to get rid of that metal condenser. It is there for a reason. A system is not a system with a main component of it missing. Also your draw will become much more wide open. I say stick to the cleaning advice Dave gave otherwise.- hans

Getting the Most From Tobacco
It seems one of the major problems of people starting out is that they are used to experiencing the room note and not the tobacco. So when they start, they expect that same experience which is just not the case. Especially with many aros where the room note can be better than the palate...- hans

Haha yeah it might never get finished at this rate. I'd say it's 60-70% done. It was started when i was 19 and i'm now 35. The guy that is doing it has now become famous and owns multiple shops. not to mention lives 3000 miles away.- hans

New Peterson Real Bad Taste!
There has been a lot of talk on this site about the quality issues a lot of new peterson's have. them seem to be staining the whole briar lately, bowl and all. i think there are a few threads on here about advice on how to clean that out or even ream it out down to wood. -

Yes Anthony, if you can afford it you should try to get some sampler packs. They are a cheap way to try much better tobaccos. I personally love the victory lap sampler from pipesandcigars.com. It will give you a look into a whole new world.- hans

Escudo and 1Q
I did this last night. I feel like the escudo almost added what I can best describe as a cigarette flavor but a slightly more plummy note. I was actually surprised at how much of a nic hit it gave me. It was quite a ride, and I had a hard time sleeping afterwards!- hans

One reason I think this could be a bad idea is that those liquids aren't meant to be burnt. They're meant to be vaporized. If you try and like it than more power to you but my personal opinion is that I want to reward these blenders for their work in the science of blending, tobacco growing...- hans
