Vegas Smokes - Is anyone home???
Fred@VegasSmokes actually used to run a great little B&M here in Vegas many years ago. But I think that website needs to come down. I don't even know if he is in Vegas anymore. If he is, he must be running his pipe business out of a garage somewhere. I'd suggest Buyer Beware.- loborx

Completely Disgusting!
I suppose even misery can be marketed. I don't so much question the motivation of the tour bus owner - I guess he has to make a buck "somehow" - but I do question the motivation of the people who pay to take such a tour. I see tragedy marketed all around this country - Dallas Book...- loborx

On the desert back porch slow sippin' some John Rolfe (clone) in the BC Monmartre. Otherwise, this tobacco will torch my mouth. It's a peachy burley blend that bites like a badger. Kind of have a love-hate relationship with this stuff... :? Definitely forces you to work on your slow cadence...- loborx

The Cheyenne Way. It's a casebook study of Law among Tribal cultures. Lots of pipe smoking goes on in this book. Pipe tobacco is used as a means of settling "troubles" - a form of restitution for mediating conflicts, brokering peace, contemplating action. Quite fascinating.- loborx

B&M/Drug store tobacco prices
Here in Nevada, I get my "drug store" 'baccys from the Tribal Smoke Shop. There is a Paiute Reservation just a few blocks from downtown Las Vegas. Massive Cigar Humidor. PA, Velvet,Cherry Blend, SWR, all the Capt's, etc.. in pouches and tubs. I probably sound like a commercial but these guys...- loborx

If You Could Only Smoke One Blend
EMP. It's not the end-all ultimate blend but if all other blends disappeared, I would find comfort in its mix of Va and Orientals. It's just a mild, tasteful, reliable and satisfying blend. I wouldn't miss all the others (too much) if this were the only one around.- loborx

When I head to the high country, I pick up a fresh pouch of PA for the fishing hole. I pack a stout Balkan/English for the campfire nights. Latakia keeps the bugs at bay.
