Do You Change Tobaccos with the Change of Seasons?

Just celebrated my first anniversary of smoking a pipe so I may see some seasonal effect more this coming year. I did find that when it was very hot this summer I shied away from the pipe. I am enjoying the pipe again this fall.

    Mouth Feels Clean After Smoking?

I found that in the winter after smoking at my friend's place when I went out side to drive home the air smelled clean and different. I do not notice it now that I am smoking outside all the time. I mainly smoke English blends.

    Frog Morton's Cellar Question

I have never had that problem with FMC. I do let it dry for about 30 - 40min before lighting. This has always worked for me. I did have a Hiland's blend that bit me pretty good one time. That is when I started paying attention to the drying process. Good advice from everyone here. Hope you...

    Esoterica Stonehaven

When my friend and I get together for a couple of bowls we usually each bring a new tobacco along to try. One evening I provided Hyde Park while he brought Stonehaven. I liked it and would have it again, but it is not one I would put in to my regular rotation.

    Albert Einstein's Tobacco?

hobie1dog, great post. Excellent info on Einstein. I now know what he smoked. Read some good biographical material on him years ago before I took up the pipe, so I was not paying attention to his pipe smoking habit and tobacco he used.

Must You Be in Favor of Aro or Non-Aro Blends?

The friend who helped me when I started with the pipe has been smoking for many, many years. He plunged me right into English blends and I really enjoyed them. I have since tried some aros, Virginias, and VaPers but fall back to English as my go to blends. Works for me. My favourite at the...

Smoking a Pipe is so Unsatisfying in This Heat

Same here in Eastern Ontario. I just rec'd my new Floggle Werks hand made churchwarden pipe and it has been too hot on the patio to start breaking it in. This Canadian is waiting for a "cold front". Bring it on. . .
