    Game changer smoke

Thanks. I make esprssso almost everyday and I’ve been doing it for 2 years, I’m pretty good not to toot my own horn. I only occasionally get that “God shot” though. I suppose it’s the same here. It’s all about the chase, and the pure bliss when you get one. Everything faded away besides me and...

    Game changer smoke

I’ve been enjoying my pipe after blitzing these forums when I started not long ago. I’ve smoked quite a bit. It’s always “pretty good” or “excellent” but today it was “next level”. This isn’t my first time smoking this blend, but it’s been a while after resting it in a mason jar for a few...

    First Savinelli Pipe

The stems caught my eye, not sure why. I guess they just stand out since most are round/oval. Reminded me of a classy pirate, or maybe someone in the Navy long ago… a bit aggressive I think, but sleek.

    First Savinelli Pipe

I don't know what to smoke in it, I think I am restricting this pipe to no aromatics... I'm not really familiar with carbon cakes yet. Would you say a new pipe has a negative impact on the flavor of tobaccos? If so, I probably won't smoke those 3 year aged tins in this new Savinelli. That was a...

    First Savinelli Pipe

I understand. I guess it's standard to call a pipe by its shape rather than line, my apologies. I feel like you are telling me I said something wrong but I didn't seem to say anything that is not true, or it is going over my head. I had just meant "boxy" as in the stem is a literal square, just...

    First Savinelli Pipe

It is part of the Savinelli Roma series, I'm not sure if Roma is also a pipe shape but that would be confusing, if it is a non-Roma-shaped Roma bulldog... My fist pipe was the easiest to buy. Now I have a great deal of trouble choosing one...

    First Savinelli Pipe

After a brief 4 day hiatus this new Roma arrived in the mail. The boxy one I wanted sold out the day I went to buy it, so I opted for this rotated box (diamond) one. I was hesitant on Savinelli because I prefer a filter and the 6mm charcoals seem to be a bit harder to find. I may try out their...

Exclusive Pipe Smoking Studies To Remain Nonexistent?

I get it. Smoking bad. If you don't think anything beyond this exists then there's no need to read on. As for the rest, why can't we help a new generation min/max it like every other nuanced hobby? Off the top of my head, how is heavy smoking and the onset of cancer (say, 5 bowls a day)...

    Balkans... Rubber Tire?

In the case of Perique it seems it was named after the first non-Native to acquire them, Pierre Chenet. Quite a record to me. But you're right, without some sort of genetic analysis this is speculation. Not really pre-history here, just a few hundred years. There are plenty of hundred year...

    Balkans... Rubber Tire?

Based on my research this is a fact, not a matter of which thing is emotionally more important. Richo Cech is a world renowned botanist and this heirloom seed is completely native to Louisiana, no other way about it.

    Balkans... Rubber Tire?

According to ever so reputable Wiki: "When the Acadians made their way into this region in 1776, the Choctaw and Chickasaw tribes were cultivating a variety of tobacco with a distinctive flavor." Based on reality and what information we have, I would disagree with your assessment and say...

And just because they call a seed Perique doesn't mean it's fake.

    Opening a New Tin/Creating a Ritual?

Do you put the empty tin on the Christmas tree that year?

    Balkans... Rubber Tire?

The correct thing also a bit goofy. you can grow perique but it might not be perique. you can make perique but it might not be perique… one word seems to be a varietal as well as a traditional process. I just got a Cajun cookbook. Kind of want to visit Louisiana someday.

    Balkans... Rubber Tire?

Here's the list I've got going (Nicotiana tabacum is what we smoke)... The first name is just a specific varietal. I only have maximum, 18 of each plant started right now. Smoking tobacco - Nicotiana tabacum (pipe) Perique tobacco - Nicotiana tabacum (fermented pipe) West Indies tobacco -...

    Balkans... Rubber Tire?

I got into soccer last year when I watched the Copa America The perique that we smoke and everyone knows is "made" but only after it's grown as a specific varietal from Louisiana. Hence, I just planted the perique heirloom varietal from Louisiana which is different from other varietals...

    Balkans... Rubber Tire?

I am not a sports fan. As in I won't turn the TV to watch whatever sport is on, but I do enjoy soccer very much. Randomly got into it watching the Copa America. I liked Brazil but have no affiliation with any team. Those boys can play, much more rough and rowdy than Premiere League and La Liga...

    Balkans... Rubber Tire?

Sorry, I should’ve said a casing beyond something simple like sugar. As far as I can tell they need casings for preservation. However like the blend I mentioned, I tasted menthol but my palate is still new. I’d presume a sugar casing has minimal flavor, maybe mild sweetness. But yea, the...

    Balkans... Rubber Tire?

Yes that’s how I bought my second batch after getting some aromatics in the first. I’m still convinced a couple of the English I’ve tried have a casing…
