Cigar Leaf Based Blends... C&D Billy Budd vs HU Nyala
Please share your thoughts on the Nyala when you have tried it. I shall put GLP Key Largo on my list of must try blends. With customs and fees tobacco from the states is to expensive to buy in volume or for regular use. But i sometimes splurge and buy a single tin of a few must try blends in...- Gecko

You are right I am a bit unfair, and I to have enjoyed some non-Cuban cigars. Its just that imho Cuban cigars often have a rounded, smooth, earthy flavor to them that I have not found in any non Cuban cigars. And i found those same earthy notes in C&D Billy Budd but not in the C&D Bow Legged Bear.- Gecko

How Do You Cut Yours?
Hardly smoke cigars anymore but back when I smoked them daily I used a cigar scissor that had three bent blades so the cigar got cut from all directions at once with equal pressure. On the go I would use a double sided guillotin. Oh and if it was a Cuban from the bad years giving me draft...- Gecko

I Decided to Try Maltese Falcon...
Maltese Falcon is a great blend and the mystery spice adds some depth to it. But to me it is a bit too smooth and mellow. It lacks a bit of "umph" to be a top ten in my book.- Gecko

I mostly smoke on the go, so being abel to fit in a pocket is almost a must for my pipes. My favourite bar none is my Peterson System Standard 317. Very practical fits in most pockets and you don't have to worry about bending and damaging the mortise or tenon with an army mount that you also... -

Give Me the Pros and Cons of Softy Bits
I clench all the time when smoking and softie bits helps me have a firm grip on my pipes so I don't drop them, and protects the stems from ugly clenching marks. I remove softie bit and clean stem + disinfect bit after every use. I'm working on improving my clenching technic so one day I won't... -
