    White Elephant Pipes

Anyone have any experience with this brand? (White Elephant Pipes). They look nice and seem to have an attractive price point.

    Leather Pipe Racks - ?

I remember seeing sometime back that someone made interesting pipe racks out of leather. Really neat design that looked to be adjustable for various styles and shapes. Not talking about pipe 'couches or single loop style holders - these were 6 or 7 stands. Anyone else remember this? There...

    Have Any Blends Gotten Better?

This is a tough one. At times, a current iteration of a blend may not strike one as overly appealing. After some time or a few more bowls, it magically becomes really good. I think it is often in our heads. That, or a bit of aging.

    Straight Virginia's

I'm not a fan of most VA's, VaPers or any other Va-somethings. As has been said, not a lot of taste & flavor. Sure, there are some tasty ones, but too much work chasing that amazing, but all too light flavor, like FVF & St James. Personally, I have appreciated English, Scottish, Orientals and...

    How Does One Spice Up...?

The question is this - how would one ramp up the strength and taste of a blend that is a bit too mild and plain? I'm primarily talking about English and similar styles.

    C & D Perique - Funky!

Yep, like many here have said, the stuff really adds to a blend and smokes great! Interesting that blends with perique rarely ever smell anything but amazing!

    C & D Perique - Funky!

I'm a fan of blends that have a bit of perique in them - usually can discern a bit of plum or other slight fruit essence along with the rewarding tingle. To spice up some of my current pipe tobaccos, I bought some C & D Perique. Upon opening, I expected spiciness and a bit of fruity aroma...

    Is this Mixing or Blending?

Yeah - I figured I just mixed up a darn good 'TV dinner' ! Surprised at the good outcome! Thought I might get... :poop: Turns out I got... puffy

    Is this Mixing or Blending?

I had about an ounce of a blend from Edward's Pipe Shop, Scottish Buccaneer, that was a bit too sweet and light in body. This was taking up space in the den for a couple of years, so I decided to see if I could make something a bit more to my liking. I added a couple of ounces of St James...

    OOOOOH - HELLLLL NOOOOOO !!! :oops::oops::oops:

    Chamber size vs Tobacco Type?

What types / blends of tobacco best fit smaller pipe chambers? Personally, I prefer English, Scottish or other latakia blends in larger capacity pipes. So what about smaller pipes? Virginias - ???

    English / Latakia C&D Blends

So, which C&D blends are relatively strong (med - full), tasty English or Oriental offerings that include latakia? Not looking for lat bombs here - just some good ones similar to GLP.

    Favorite GLP

One of the GLP English / Oriental / Balkan / Cigar blends I haven't had yet is Key Largo - that's up next for me! puffy

    Pipe Cleaning

Here's a 2-parter... 1) How often do you do a general or 'adequate' cleaning? After every smoke, once a week - when? 2) How often do you do a thorough cleaning - 151 / alcohol / cotton ball / salt, etc? Inquiring minds want to know puffy

    Favorite GLP

Curious as to what are the favorite GLP blends are and why. As for me, I really like Quiet Nights - smooth, just strong enough, complex. puffy

How Often does Your Favorite Tobacco Change?

Every 3-4 months it seems! There are so many good blends out there! I simply don't see why so many hunt for the unicorns when there are pipe tobaccos that are likely as good, if not better to easily be found.

    Sanitized and Ready to Smoke

Embers is corrrect about 'Not Really". I just received a very nice limited edition estate from the same source, that is in absolutely excellent condition - and was not cleaned at all. A presentation box that was listed in the pipe's description was missing upon arrival as well. That used to...
