Anyone 'Tweak' His Pipe Tobacco?
I will occasionally make adjustments to a blend when the taste is not quite what I'm looking for. I prefer blends with latakia and to be a little on the sweet side. Seattle Pipe Club - Mississippi River Special Reserve Review
Agree with OP - MR original is my preference, although all of the MR iterations are excellent. To my taste, MR original is easily in my top five favorite English blends. Worth trying all of the versions. Will not be dissapointed!- badbriar

SPC Price Points
My first bowl of PP was a bit of a let-down, however I do really like Mississippi River a lot. I do have a few others cellared, but have not tried them. If one searches, several of the SCP blends can be found at pretty good discounts. ;)- badbriar

Tobacco and Cold/Hot Temps
Not sure abut pipe tobacco, but storing cigars in cold temps (mid 50's & below) sure is detrimental to the quality and tastes of the cigars. This is from experience when my wineador reset during a power outage to the lowest temperature setting of 54 deg. Discovered that after about a week.- badbriar
