Flakes Really Aren't As Difficult As You May Think
I break the flake in half (longways, with the grain, size depends on the bowl of course; most of my bowls are small so a half flake is about right), I fold the flake in half (end to end), then twist it as push it in (folded end first). Keeping open tins fresh
Honestly, if you put some torque on the twist top tins, they seem to hold moisture pretty well (in fact, I've had them reseal with pressure change--so I needed to break the seal again).
