    Carter Hall--A Revelation

I would not ask if you know how to pack a bowl but if you know where to put the stem. Back on topic, CH is a decent smoke. I do not judge what a person smokes so long as they enjoy it. Smoke what you like and love what you smoke.

    MM Ozark hardwood

I always thought they were birch (or at least the same material as the MM shanks.) These are really decent pipes when you do not have much money. I always hate the fist couple of smokes because the have a nasty weird taste until you get the bowl charred.

    Side Affects

If I smoke a couple of bowls of Carter Hall I am not able to taste salt for two or three days.

    FDA and Lane Limited?

Had to go to trusty Google to figure out what you said. I am ashamed to say I have never come across that phrase before . If I keep reading this forums I will be a pipe smoker, a gentleman and a scholar. :-)

Nicely done. You should be proud of what you have accomplished. Hey it is more pipe than I have ever created. Keep up the nice work.

Would I Be Right To Assume This Is A Meer?

If you look closely it is not the same side of the stem. One side of the stem looks like it has a chunk missing out of the button and quite possibly a hole through the stem.

    FDA and Lane Limited?

I was on pipesandcigars.com and noticed that on their store front for the Lane Limited bulk tobacco, 1Q, RLP6 etc, they now have listed 1oz through 16oz bags of "bulk" tobacco. Currently these are all showing backordered. I am speculating that this is Lane's reaction to the new FDA regulations...

    Erinmore Mixture vs. Flake

I am prepping my end of the month tobacco purchase and was wondering the forums thoughts on Erinmore flake vs mixture. I have never smoked a flake tobacco; however, it was recommended that this could be a good flake to start with since I love aromatics. Please give me any thoughts you have plus...

    Darn Fish Anyway

Wow, when I made the original post I never imagined how entertaining the replies would we or how far off topic it would go. Thank you all so much for being who you are. :worship:

    Waiting Patiently

Whenever I have a pipe or tobacco order coming I check online to see if it has been delivered and then rush off at lunch to pick it up. By the way, each time I promise myself that I will wait patiently until I get off of work; however, that has never happened...until next time???

    Barling Rough Meerschaum

Is that pipe and example of how much a meerschaum will color with years of smoking? I might just have to go purchase a new one to enjoy that coloring process.

    A pipe for my dad

No matter what pipe you get your father, I think is wonderful that you are wanting to buy him a gift that will mean a lot to him. Enjoy the hunt for your fathers new pipe.

    tentative meer

The only thing that I would state is that the bowl seems like it has a relatively small smoking chamber.

Looking for a Tobacco Recommendation (Aromatic)

I love LL RLP-6; however, I really enjoy the end of the bowl were there are much stronger flavors. Does anyone have an aromatic recommendation that is a bit more fuller flavor?

One MM never put into production, what a shame.

Beautiful pipe. I am hoping to buy a MM Dagner cob next time they are in stock; however, if I had a choice between a Dagner cob or that cherry wood shape I would go for the one the Banjo is smoking. Here hoping that MM reads these posts and gives us a new pipe shape to choose from.
