Latest TAD and Thoughts on New Tobaccos

For the first nine years of my adventures in pipe smoking I have primarily smoked Lane bulk tobacco. I really like RLP-6; however, in the last couple of months I have decided to branch out and try some different tobaccos. It all started when I purchased a tin of Erinmore flake and realized that...

    CBW, Not That Bad

CBW is not a bad smoke at all. I do purchase a pouch now and again and usually keep it unopened for at least a year which usually means that by the time that I do get to it is just about dry enough to really burn properly.

    Edward's Pipes?

I found out about Edwards pipes a couple of years ago when I went to a local antique store and they had a gentleman who was selling something like 75 of them. I ended up purchasing 5 of them; however, after they were all sold out I wish that I would have purchased many many more.

    First Order from P&C!

Nice haul. May you heal quickly. I believe that enjoying your pipe with help take your mind off of the struggles with healing and therefore ensure a much quicker healing process. :-)

    Do Amish Communities Grow Tobacco?

I would have guessed that Amish would have forbade all growing and using of tobacco. Thank you for bringing this topic up. I love the fact that if one keeps their eyes and ears open then one can continue to be a life longer learner of new information.

Need Ready Reference on Deeming Date Blends

+1 on what Sablebrush said. It would be nice if tobacco retailers would put out a list of what is going away. I would think that they would want to so that they could cash in on the increased sales that will come with people stocking up on a favorite that is going to go away.

    Where did the flavor go?

I think most of us have been where you are at. +1 to all the above. Hang in there you will get get better.

    Exploding tobacco

I like the hole in the lid suggestion, except you now have a hole in your lid. I really like the idea of the ziplock bag solution.

    New Pipe, Im Stoked

I have seen a couple of Whitehall pipes on Ebay. I purchased one a few weeks ago; however, when I received the pipe I discovered that it had a small crack that went from outside the bowl to the interior so I had to return it. It was a nose warmer with the same look as the one above. Happy smoking.

    Erinmore Mixture vs. Flake

I did get a tin of the flake and am enjoying it quite a bit. After trying this flake I think I am going to try a few more flakes and even some virginians.

    Dodging Snipers

In your example you did not put in the highest amount that you were willing to pay. Also, the thinking of, "Well I would of paid another dollar" is part of the psychology that can lead to over paying for items on any auction site. The main way I get burned on ebay is when I do not bid what I am...

Pre 2007 Blends - Are They Really Safe?

Here is the rub, pipe tobacco, vaping and cigars are not specified in the legislation that gives the FDA the right to regulate tobacco products; this is why the FDA is saying that they are deeming these products. I do not think that any tobacco product, or e-cigarettes which contain no tobacco...

Haddo's Delight - How Do You Smoke It?

I have yet to try this blend; however, I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that you use a pipe to smoke it. :-)
