    Rope Tobacco

I just purchased some sweet maple twist. I've been a pipe smoker for 25 years, but have never encountered a rope before, mostly out of fear. Anyway, this this is awesome in it's presentation. I am a bit unsure of how to prepare it. My guess would be to slice it into coins and then crumble it...

    Bob Hayes Contact Info

Thanks. I have the pipe that he uses on his business cards. I love it, it's a great smoker. He also has carved 2 pipes for my boys that I'll give to them when they are older. It has their name and birthdate on the silver band band.

    Bob Hayes Contact Info

I don't know if this is an appropriate venue to post this. I was looking to get in touch with Bob Hayes and wondered if someone might be able to PM me his info. BTW, love his pipes!

    Tobacco Samples at Shows

So, if I am correct, tobacco samples will be outlawed at pipes shows. I was wondering if there was a way around this. This vexes me because this is one of my favorite aspects of the pipes shows, to be able to try a bunch of blends that I wouldn't necessarily lay down the money to buy a whole...

Tobacco Cessation Program and a Rant.

I have a friend who smoked like a freight train (cigarettes). You could smell him walk into our locker room. He smoked on his way into get his nicotine test. When the results came back, they said, "would you like to change your answer on whether or not you are a smoker? because your test...

Anyone going to Triangle Area Pipe Show NC?

Great show...had a great time. Just wish it was bigger and wish we could smoke in the show hall. Always love talking with new and old friends. I was able to drag along a longtime friend and pipe smoker. He'd never been to a pipe show and he was impressed and had a great time. Left at 6am...

    Smoking Indoors

Interesting...i'd like to hear about more people on the Lampe Bergers. I have a study I smoke in about once a week. I installed a fairly high powered exhaust fan. The cool thing is that the exhaust fan is at the end of my porch, so there is quite a long bit of ducting before the motor is...

Lord of the Rings pipe....anyone know the maker

MacQueen Pipes Always been interested in these. Does anybody own one and can they share their thoughts. How about durability?

    Disposable Pipe Lighter

I will have to look into some of these other pipe lighters. The side light interested me because it looked like an amped up bic. Which if it only cost a few dollars wouldn't be a big deal to throw in my truck/car etcetera. I just did a search for pipe lighters on amazon. The results are...

    Disposable Pipe Lighter

Some gentleman gave my friend a disposable pipe lighter at October's CORP show. It's pretty neat, soft flame and angled flame. It is called a Side Light. Haven't been able to find one anywhere on the internet. Does anybody know about these or where I could find them?

    Pipe Show Disappointment

Thanks Russ for chiming in...that helps to explain a lot. It is a shame that taxes even have to be a problem. I hear they are also trying to clamp down on free samples (cause I see a bunch of teenage kids at the pipe show getting hooked on a lifetime of evil tobacco slavery). BTW, I tried a...

    Ironwood for pipes?

My front porch is made out of iron wood (Ipe). When my contractor was working on it he decided to take a torch to it to see if he could catch it on fire....all he could do was scorch it.

    Pipe Show Disappointment

I just wanted to vent a bit and maybe offer some observations. I don't attend a lot of pipe shows. Used to attend the LA pipe show back when that was around. I have gone to CORPS 5+ years. Just attended my first TAPS show this last weekend. I love these shows and it offers good times. I am...

Curious George and Richard Scarry Pipes in Books

I read to my older kids every evening as I can. My wife scours the literary world for good books for them (which usually means older books) It is amazing how often pipes are mentioned and fairly frequently. Right now we are reading Fellowship of the Ring, which has obvious pipe smoking...

    Green Tea/Oral Cancer

and there is also so evidence in coffee reducing oral cancer. Here I am covered on this front. The one that really bugs me is the increased risk of alcohol consumed at the time of smoking increases oral cancer. Oh well, I guess I'll die in the end anyway.

    Green Tea/Oral Cancer

My wife found this link and I found it interesting. Green Tea Shows Promise against Oral Cancer May not be anything, but green tea isn't bad just to enjoy either.

    Across the Pond

Thanks guys for the great response and suggestions. And thanks Andy for the invitation. So, are these blends you can get in some shops or does it really need to be ordered? My friend will be going with his wife and family and will probably only really be able to duck in a shop really...

Quincy "Danger" Worthington on Radio Show of Oct 14, 2014

Brian, Just had Keldon, Caleb and Liam listen to the show. You should have seen their faces light up and laugh and wonder how you knew about them. Thanks for the shout out! It was good to see you at CORPS. -Nathaniel
