Haunted Bookshop. Rossi 8114. No pictures, unfortunately. …but, was graced with one of those “ultimate smokes” as matches called them. Burley on point, nice VA sweetness coming in and out, just the right spice in retrohale from perique. No phone, no music, no YT distractions…just me and my...

ehh following the rules was never my strong suit. But noted for next time. Unfortunately everything I crack get jarred right away, no redos for cinematic purposes…

***What Are You Smoking, February 2024?***

Pete 338. Bold Ky. Ive always used a spice grinder on my plug slabs, but just started recently grinding some flakes up just to see what would happen. Think I’ll continue doing that, makes for a nice easy buring bowl.

    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

It seems to me this is a thread of show us the cool or hard to get blends, i dont know - never participated. Never the less, these were two new ones for me opened this week. Both good, would get again, neither knock my socks off. I have a feeling JKP could benefit from a 3-5 year sleep. It...

Do I Need a Little Break?

Just my personal experience, but you know how everyone says a healthy rested pipe is “best”? I actually find if I smoke a pipe that has been sitting for many weeks / months it falls flat on that first bowl back, like it needs a wake up to get the oils and juices flowing. All that to say...

***What Are You Smoking, January 2024?***

At least once a month my wife will ask “did you catch that road runner yet”?

***What Are You Smoking, January 2024?***

Haunted Bookshop, suprise, in the Rossi 8114. For those playing along at home, which is no one, I have abandoned the massive log for a laminated 2x base…it was too big actually. Couldn’t work the horn or pass tooling through the [hardy] hole.

***What Are You Smoking, January 2024?***

Nothing photo worthy, BUT warm enough to sit outside on the back desk listening to the rain with a bowl of Quiet Nights in one of my Briarworks. Heavenly.

***What Are You Smoking, January 2024?***

HBS in a Rossi. Tonight ‘s pipe contemplation: how to square up the end of a log (about 2” out of square, 22” diameter) which will be burnt in and made into an anvil base. Definitely thinking planing cuts with the chain saw.

***What Are You Smoking, December 2023?***

***What Are You Smoking, December 2023?***

Nothing picture worthy to share, but broke down and ordered 8oz Haunted Bookshop. Enjoying it in my HBS pipe, Rossi 8114. Once a year or so I get a tin of OJB - Blue, just to remind myself how much I really like HBS; it’s perfect: loads of burley, just the right amount of VAs to keep a sweet...
