***What Are You Smoking, January 2025?***

double thumbs up, worked like a charm. Wish I could give credit where due…but thanks to who recommended that idea. Fyi a 338 is a fairly small chamber, i should have gone 2/3 & 1/3. But suspect if you have a standard 20x40mm, or larger, a 1/4 bowl should work fine.

***What Are You Smoking, January 2025?***

Tobacco sammich: 3/4 PS41, 1/4 Haunted bookshop. Pete 338 Trying something out here. I really like PS41, but often get some tongue bite. I believe that is more due to the effort it takes to get it going than the tobacco itself. Someone on here recommended (sorry don't recall the user), when...

Jim's Updated and Revised SWR Review.

Shame, I errantly bought 6x 7oz tubs of the regular. Similiar production date, 2023 I think? Opened the first one and went F no. Oh well… I alway need something with decent shelf life to live in the non climate controlled barn. I like granger, but don’t love it. May have to try PA next.

How Many Blends Do You Have in Rotation?

I have about 8 in rotation. Basically 4 burley blends, 2 va, 2 english. I try hard to keep the jarred part of my cellar alone and not crack into them. Id really like to get to the point where I crack something open and smoke it until it’s gone, but we’ll see - i like to switch it up. And...

What Are You Drinking? January 2025

I’ve always got a Johnnie Walker “Green” going…apparently have to bust into a new one this evening. Im not a massive scotch fan, but this one just does it for me, love it. 1) anyone have a similar recommendation? What I like about this is how it’s a blend of all four regions of scotch. So a...

Morning bowl was Squadron Leader in a Pete 53. Now enjoying some Elizabethan out of a Rossi 8122 Wait, am I still allowed to like Peterson (or Stokkebye for that matter) anymore? Haha

Best English / Balkan blends for aging

Interesting, appreciate your point of view. Maybe the QN I had just peaked…may (or may not) rethink my strategy here. Crappy thing about english is I like them, and want to cellar them deep to avoid price increases of the future…but …they wont hold up. I intentionally picked QN to go deep on...
